Daine follows Gabriel along, sticking a bit closer than she might otherwise so there's a smaller rat-free area to maintain. Their numbers keep increasing, to the point where it looks rather like the parting of the Red Sea as they finally make their way up to the door. For the most part, she keeps her mouth shut and her jaw clenched with the effort of holding them all back, though at one point their incessant chatter gets galling enough that she mutters, "Oh, shut it," under her breath, shortly followed by a chorus of furious squeaks and a widening in the ratless gap around them.

She steps through the doorway with a sigh of relief as the rat's voices abruptly vanish from her mind as if a switch has been flicked. A glance back over her shoulder reveals a shut door that appears to lead to the lovely conservatory she'd wanted to explore before, and she sighs before turning back to the sitting room. "Well, then," she says, folding her arms and giving Gabriel a wary look. "You're back?"
