Aglet catches his breath in the cool shade of a tree root and tries not to notice that he's kind of enjoying the fresh smell of the outdoors. He tries to sit down, but finds that it's easier just to bend his tail into an S-shape and lean back on it. He recognizes his lower half as that of some kind of rodent, but it's not like any mouse or rat he's ever seen in his life...and anyway, it doesn't make sense for him to be any kind of animal. He's busy patting down his torso to make sure it really is still human borrower when he hears a voice nearby and freezes, listening intently.

A few moments later, he cautiously pokes his head far enough out to look around. That voice sounded familiar somehow, but he doesn't see who talked. "Yes?" he tries cautiously, ready to bolt back into the hollow.
