They can both be irked at each other, for different reasons; Lucifer, because he's really getting tired of all these strange beings that don't exist in his universe showing up, and Desire because he is not the Morningstar they remember. He is, indeed, still Lord of Hell, if that would even be the right term for it; the demons may fight their petty squabbles while he's gone over the title King of Hell, but Lucifer's sovereignty is never a question.
