Peter sounds vaguely defeated enough for Daniel to sigh and dial back the frustration a bit. Whoever Gabe is, he's going to assume that Peter knows him well enough to not involve him in something so completely uncalled-for.

"I'm sorry, whatever happened, okay?" It's a hasty apology and he can't fully eliminate the undercurrent of exasperation still lurking beneath, but if they're going to make any progress in getting out of this place Peter's going to have to get over it, at least for now. "But you can stop getting mad at me for something I didn't actually do."
