"Yep," says Daniel tightly, a semantically precise answer to each question across the board he's pretty sure, one hand flying wildly across the ground in search of his glasses. Out of random chance he catches hold of the wire frames, recognizes the shape of the rounded lenses, and jams them back onto his face.
"Come on, come on," Aliyah urges, but Daniel's attempt to break into a dead run is somewhat impeded by the large crack that's apparently formed on one of the lenses. The snow leopard curls her tail at his hip and he reaches down instinctively to brush at the fur on her back.
