Seth hurries along right behind him, though honestly he's not really able to keep much of a look-out while he's moving. It wasn't so bad out on the grass, or inside the base, but out here it's a different story. He needs to be very aware of where he's putting his feet, and yeah he's most definitely going to end up scratched and bruised, but he'd like that to be the worst of it. If he steps on something particularly painful, he might end up losing his balance, which is not something he wants while he's running for cover. Still, he manages.
