Nick might be savoring his coffee but Daniel bolts his with an almost absentminded energy, like it's never occurred to him not to down his coffee as quick as he can go. He'll deal with the diuretic aftereffects later - for now he'll watch road and wheel with his intriguing passenger.

"Mm, leftover problems from my inability to deal as a kid," he says lightly, honestly, turning out of the lot and back onto the broad expanse of road.
