"Mm, that makes sense, actually." Relieved at the somewhat ungainly shift in subject, Daniel quickly latches onto it regardless. "Instead of creating an entire new environment, why not just make sort of a, a collage from everyone else's memories so it ends up a mix of 'new' and 'familiar'?"

It'd be creative, almost, if it wasn't so distantly unnerving. Comforting, in a way, to have those fragments of home buried in dreams, but not something Daniel wants to think at any great length. The Rift has already shown itself capable of rifling through his memories to stir up some truly terrible spots in his past and he's not keen on dwelling.
