Daine twitches her paw sideways, not swatting the bundle of moss out of the air, but allowing it to bounce off of her paw pads instead of off her face. I don't know what your problem is, she says sourly, still showing her teeth, since he seems to at least have a begrudging wariness of her now that she's large enough to defend herself. If he just talked to her, maybe she could help. She doesn't make that offer, though, because she can guess how it'd be received.

Maybe he'll respond better to rudeness.
