Jay stares flatly at Daniel for a few moments. "Oh," he says finally. "Uh, sure. Okay." Most of those words made zero sense to him, and maybe it's that he's still not got his head on quite right, but there is also a high probability that he's just too stupid for it.

"Are you..." He's not sure what to ask, here. "Uh. You're a rifty, right? I mean, are we dreaming?"
