"A place where the gods can't hear you," Alanna muses, searching her memory for any scholarly reference that might fit that description. She comes up empty, but that doesn't mean Numair or Jonathan won't know anything about it. She determines to look in the library in Carthak if she has to in order to find so much as a hint of where her friend has been spirited away to.
