Daine beams. Not everyone appreciates bats, and it's gratifying to see that Edgar's of a different mindset. Whisper sits contentedly in the middle of the boy's palm, nose and ears wiggling curiously as she takes Edgar in.
"She's getting a sense of what you look like by listening to the way sounds bounce off of you," Daine explains, pointing to Whisper's ears. "Her eyesight isn't that bad, actually, but bats 'see' better with their ears."
