Fortunately for Andrew, Daine's distracted enough by the strange sensation of new and unfamiliar creatures' minds brushing against her own to not be put off by his nattering. She does give him a brief, exasperated glance, though. It's not his need to make comparisons to things he's more familiar with that really irks her so much as the fact that he's always comparing her magic to things she knows nothing about, so she can't correct him if he's misunderstood.
