Briefly, Cosima pulls a face of sympathetic disgust, but she's mostly preoccupied by her fascination at the human-turned-pony.

'What were you? And how do people get transformed? You can't just completely rearrange DNA like that, it's not possible. Even with the advances that've been made in artificial-- though--' and here she whacks herself in the forehead with the meat of her palm-- 'Duh, that's totally earth-centric of me, isn't it? If we're talking about non-human life forms and different universes, science isn't going to be restricted to what's currently possible in the science I know.'

She's rambling a bit, isn't she? Cosima pulls an awkwardly self-deprecating smile. 'Sorry, I'm a biologist, I get kinda--' To demonstrate what 'kinda' she gets, she waves a hand in the air next to her head, fingers wiggling as if to illustrate the frenetic motion of brain energy and firing synapses.
