From high above the jungle canopy, there is a delighted whoop that sounds distinctly human. Daine, it so happens, has made another friend… and this one can fly. The pteranodon banks carefully so the teenager clinging to its back doesn't slide off. In slow, wheeling circles, it descends into a clearing. Then it lands, limbs thudding into the grass.
Daine tumbles off the dinosaur's back, flushed and grinning, her hair a complete mess of windblown curls. "Thank you, wing-sister," she says, running a hand over the creature's long bill. "That was fun! And your island is beautiful." She giggles as the pteranodon gives one of her curls a playful tug, then steps back to give the creature room to take off. It rises into the air with a loud cry, and Daine shades her eyes, watching it depart until it wheels out of sight.
Well! She turns about, listening for any other nearby dinosaurs, and blinks in surprise when she sees a two-legger at the edge of the clearing, instead. "Oh! Hullo."
