Daine lets Peeta pull her to her feet, then casts a haunted look at the tree line. "Okay." Part of her hates the idea of turning her back on the creatures, but part of her is eager to put as much distance between herself and their misshapen minds as she can.

She follows Peeta along the beach in sober silence for a minute, then quietly asks, "Have you seen anyone else here?" She's not sure if they should be watching out for fellow dreamers or for fellow competitors - or both.
