dreams...in...SPAAAAAACE!
It's Wednesday night, and the rift has once again pushed and pulled the dreamers of Manhattan and beyond, gathering them together for its own mysterious purposes.
Why, for instance, have the dreamers been placed in an office building? And why, for that matter, is everyone weightless? Everything is weightless, for that matter, which might make maneuvering a little difficult with all those floating tables, chairs, and office supplies floating about. There's nothing stopping anyone from leaving the building and exploring the parking lot and green spaces nearby, but is a wide open space really where one wants to be right now?
[Mod note: Usual dream party rules apply. All players and characters are welcome, current members or no. Characters will remember or forget all dream events at players' discretion.]

The second question takes some thought, but then she rolls her shoulders in a feline shrug. Mostly. Sometimes folk show up in the dreams before the rift actually gets them. That's how it worked with Aly, anyway.

"Is there any particular reason why the rift put us here?" he asks, releasing his grip on the window frame with one hand to carefully encompass the building with a wave. "Or is it just random?"

"Should we go look for people, then?" he asks, eyes flickering toward the doorway they originally hurtled through. He's never had a shared dream before; he isn't sure what the etiquette is.
In truth, he can't remember the last time he had a dream as opposed to a nightmare. The thought gives him pause, and he turns back to Daine. "Does the rift always create a dream for people to share, or can you wind up in someone's dream?"

She's started to drag herself to the door when his next question makes her pause. Both. I've been pulled into someone else's dreams and had random folk drop in on mine. They're not all pleasant memories, and she flattens her ears in annoyance and lingering embarrassment. The rift doesn't care much for anyone's privacy.

"Great," he mutters under his breath.
He lets out a little sigh. At any rate, whatever this is, it isn't a nightmare. And if this sort of shared dreaming happens as often as Daine says, he might as well get some practice with it now.
"What do you want to do?" he asks her.

Everything's all floaty and strange outside, too, so there's not much point in leaving the building, she says. We could keep exploring, though.

"Sure," he replies, pushing off from the window ledge to glide toward the doorway.
