I'll See You in My Dreams [WIDE-OPEN PARTY THREAD]

Sometimes the rift only gives the denizens of Manhattan strange dreams. Sometimes, two people will find themselves together in the Dreaming. And other times? Other times, the Dreaming takes hold of dozens of people at once, throwing them all together into one shared mental space while they sleep.

Tonight is one of those nights -- what's more, the rift has outdone itself this time, telepathic tendrils reaching out through the rift into other universes to pull in even those who haven't been physically transported to this world...yet. You might meet a stranger from another world, or you might run into your next-door neighbor. You might notice right away that this isn't the waking world and that you are not alone, or you may drift through blissfully unaware that anything is out of the ordinary. You might not even remember this in the morning at all.

And that's probably going to be fortunate for at least a few people, because what you will notice is the overwhelming desire to get cozy with someone. It's chilly in this big house where you've found yourself, but luckily for you, there are beds, beanbags, and blankets galore, all of them just perfect for getting cuddly with your new friends. Consider yourself lucky that dream-world cameras can't upload photos to the real-world internet.


[It's a Dreaming party, and everyone is welcome! Tag a friend, tag a stranger, whatever! Everyone who's been pulled in will be feeling unusually friendly and cuddly, so get a-snuggling. Some characters (particularly those with strong telepathic defenses) may not be as strongly affected as others; the extent of the Dreaming's effect on each character is up to the mun's discretion.

Also, when we say everyone, we mean everyone. Non-members are welcome to tag into this post, so feel free to voice-test new characters here, and to invite friends who aren't in the game to come do some meeting and greeting. If you've come upon this post and aren't a member of this game, you are welcome to tag into this post.

Hulk chuckles, carefully, very carefully, patting the puny man's back.

"Hulk strongest, usually largest, too. Flirting okay. Banner lousy flirt. Only lousier at smashing."

"I can see how you'd have him beat with the smashing, but flirting too?" He chuckles. "How 'bout a test. Tell me I've got beautiful eyes and I'll tell you how you pulled it off."

Okay, so, flirting with the Hulk is prooobably inadvisable on a variety of levels, but this is a dreamscape, right? He can zap himself away if it looks like he's going to get squashed.

Hulk looks startled. Even Betty hadn't tried flirting with him! Being nice, yes. Flirting, no. Well, Hulk is nothing, if not sure of himself. He rolls over onto his stomach, leaning up on his arms, so he is eye level with Gabriel. He stares at Gabriel's eyes for a long moment, then nods.

"Puny have pretty eyes. Nice brown, like dust from smashing."

Whoa, okay, Hulk moving around is a thing he doesn't want to be leaning up against him for. He takes a few steps back and waits for him to get situated before he steps back closer.

When the Hulk finishes his compliment, Gabriel barks out a laugh, a pleased grin on his face. "That was excellent. Yeah, you should definitely be giving Banner lessons."

Hulk grins proudly. "Banner puny and shy. Never flirts, not even with Tony."

"Tony?" Gabriel raises an eyebrow. Give him a second here. He knows his superheroes.

"Tony Stark! There somethin' goin' on there? Because that would seriously make my day if Iron Man and the Hulk were gettin' it on."

"Tony flirt with everyone. Treats Hulk like everyone. Not Hulk's though. Tony has Pepper lady."

Okay, he's lost him on the Pepper reference, so he's just going to slide right on over that. "Sounds like me and him would get along. Us folks that flirt with anything need to stick together." He waggles his eyebrows up at the Hulk. "Gotta say though, it's been a while since I've flirted with somebody I'd have to climb. The threat of bodily harm really isn't new, trust me."

Hulk huffs with laughter.

"Not smash when flirting. Hulk can be careful, even with puny humans."

"Good to know. Really. That means I can get with the climbing." The Hulk lying down like that actually makes it pretty easy. Without preamble, he steps up onto the Hulk's arm and climbs up to sit at his shoulder. "Much better. You're more comfortable than I thought you'd be. Like a plush green sofa with muscles."

"Puny man warm," Hulk told him. It felt odd, to have puny ones so willing to be close, but Hulk liked. It was so much better than screaming and running away, than the stink of fear.
