It's Saturday night and you're hallucinating in your sleep!
It's that time again! The rift has caught the good little dreamers of New York (and beyond) in its currents and washed them ashore on a desert island in a dream wonderland. This time, however, quite a noticeable change has come over each of the attendees of this nocturnal party.
All the people who arrive in this shared mindspace will find that they have been transformed into some sort of animal they find familiar or that resembles them. They will find that they can still communicate with one another and that they still have all their mental faculties, but might be a little…well…influenced by the forms they have taken on.
They will also find that they have been deposited in the middle of the largest, most elaborate playground they have ever seen. Climbing equipment and slides of the sort meant for human children are in evidence, but so are cat trees, meadows, tunnels, pools and ponds, aerial obstacle courses, and anything else the mind can imagine, for as far as the eye can see.
[OOC: The usual dream party rules apply: players apply the party's theme (in this case, transformation) to their characters according to their own discretion, and both members and non-members are more than welcome to use this post to try out characters not yet in the game. Usual dreaming rules also apply, in that players can choose whether or not their characters will remember this in the morning. Have at!]

Daine had been soaring on hawk wings before being pulled into this new dreamspace, and she lets out a rather undignified shriek as she's unceremoniously jolted back into her human shape. Fortunately for her, it's a short drop onto a patch of pea gravel. She picks herself up with a few muffled curses and brushes dust off her sleeves while she takes in her new surroundings.
It's some sort of giant playground, from the looks of it, though a good deal of the equipment looks like it's designed for animals, not two-leggers. Quite a few of the People are in evidence, as well, though none of them feel right - she can't hear them the way she ought to be able to.
"Well, this is fair strange," she mutters to herself.
[[ooc: animals tend to like Daine instinctively, so depending on how much your character is influenced by their animal side, they may find themselves drawn her way. She's also capable of influencing an animal's emotions to an extent, but again, that depends on just how much they've gone native.]]

Clint's not entirely sure or trustworthy of the whole situation, but can't help watching the girl. It's hard not to flap his wings and just head on over.

Frowning, she stares down at her own hands, trying to change them into something else - hooves, or paws, or even the nearly-human hands of a chimpanzee - but it doesn't work. Her skin gives a half-hearted ripple, but that's all.
"Odd's bobs," she mutters under her breath. If the rift hadn't already tampered with her magic, this might send her into a panic; as it is, she's just irritated. With a put-upon sigh, she returns her attention to the falcon. It's been rude of her to ignore it so long.
Hullo, wing-brother! she calls.

But uh, hi. I'm Clint. Usually I have arms.

Hey, Daine is all about shooting pointy sticks."I don't think the rift cares if you have magic or not, so long as it can muck with you somehow," she replies. "I'm Daine."

Then he stares up at her, amusement in his eyes. Wait until she realizes he's a dog.

Am I? he thinks at her. About the most I can see of myself is my tail. He gives said tail a few happy shakes, still fascinated by the feel of it and how it sometimes has a mind of its own.

He sits and quickly scratches at his ear. As a thought hits him, he stops mid-scratch, his foot dropping back to the ground.
Why aren't you in animal form?

I'm sorry. He means it, but his excitement about being a dog (a DOG!) far outweighs his sympathy for Daine's predicament and soon he's up again, sniffing around, tail wagging like a metronome.
I can see why you like shapeshifting so much, though. This is great!

Well, she can still share a bit, surely. Casting about on the ground for a few moments, she soon finds a stick that looks perfect for throwing. "Want to try fetching?" she asks, waggling the stick enticingly.

Tail whipping so hard it's making the entire back half of his body waggle, he jumps in delight.
Yes!

Dignity, schmignity. We can all pretend not to remember this in the morning."All right, here it goes..." Daine pulls her arm back and hurls the stick through the air, and it lands in some tall grass about twenty-five yards away.

When he reaches the stick, he has enough presence of mind to be careful in retrieving it, so as to get the least amount of slobber and/or dirt on it that he can manage. He's sure Daine wouldn't mind either way, but he at least tries to keep the stick clean out of politeness.
He trots back to her, feeling rather pleased with himself, all things considered.
