Encampment Under the Sea [Open to All]

Since the dreamers of Manhattan had such a lovely time at the last vaguely-nautical-themed party, the Rift has decided to step things up a notch. Tonight, the dreamers will find themselves in what appears to be a city very much like the one they inhabit in the waking world, full of towering skyscrapers, neon signs, and heavy traffic. But there is one rather crucial difference: this city is located deep underwater, and the aforementioned traffic is mostly whales and fish, with the occasional submersible thrown into the mix.
The walls and windows are heavily reinforced to withstand the pressure of the water outside, and the people who dwell in these buildings seem to be doing rather well for themselves, for the most part. Buildings are connected by enclosed walkways, so barring any horrible accidents, the dreamers should have no problem getting around without getting too wet.
Much like the city they inhabit in the waking world, some areas are more obviously affluent than others, and the dreamers are as likely to stumble upon an upscale club as an underwater pub. But while the chances of a full structural breakdown are slim, there are definitely some areas that are on the leaky side, and a general sense of claustrophobia pervades the city wherever you might find yourself.
Explore. Or, if you're feeling particularly ambitious, attempt to escape. Either way, take care - it's hard to say what might be lurking in the darkness just beyond the city lights.
[ooc: Y'all know the drill. All characters are welcome, whether they are in the game or not. Characters can remember or forget the events of the dreaming at the player's discretion. And the party never stops - backtag into infinity!]

"HELLO," he says, full of aural hand-wringing. "IS THAT BARTY? I CAN'T FIND MY WIFE!"

He takes a moment from yelling into the phone to drink his martini. Thank heavens for small favors; this dream is well-stocked with booze. At the very least, if he and Sadie must be without each other, they'll not be without their precious mana. He leaves a little bit of gin at the bottom of the glass - can't refill it now, and may need a boost to get through this conversation.
"I last saw her when I was AWAKE, of course!" he bellows. "We're starting from scratch, here. I need a good man to help me through this. Are you up to the task or NOT?"
no subject
"'Course I'm up to it," he scoffs. "Do you know who you're talking to? Never mind, don't answer that. Where are you? When I find her I'll have to tell her where you are."

As soon as said call connects, a triumphantly boozy voice declares, "FRANK!" Then, a brief sip of gin later, "BARTY! All this fuss over little old me." She doesn't sound the least bit upset about said fuss; really, it's her due. But she doesn't like the thought of her poor husband fretting over here forever. There's the faint sounds of some sort of soiree in the background; Sadie, it seems, has found herself in one of the more civilized portions of the city. "I assure you, I'm quite comfortable. Though I'd be perfectly comfortable in the company of one Mister Doyle. Frank, where have you found yourself?"

Important questions are being posed. Frank takes a quick look around. "I couldn't say!" he says. "There's a bar, and a big room, and a lot of alcohol. But is that gin I hear being drunk? Sadie love, have you also found a bar?" This is going to be difficult.

"Hang on, I've got a map," says Andrew just to make sure he isn't being made entirely superfluous. Leaning over the desk, he squints at the map in question. "Did you get there by following an s-curved corridor?"
Really, they could both be anywhere. He doesn't even know how far this PA system goes, though with any luck it's just one or two buildings.

There's a long, pitifully empty beat, and then Sadie offers a halfhearted, "… Clink? Oh, Frank, it's just not the same without you."
no subject
He tromps toward the nearest exit. "I'm in the corridor now! I have to say one could argue that it is rather S-shaped. Well done, Barty. What's next?"
