Encampment Under the Sea [Open to All]

Since the dreamers of Manhattan had such a lovely time at the last vaguely-nautical-themed party, the Rift has decided to step things up a notch. Tonight, the dreamers will find themselves in what appears to be a city very much like the one they inhabit in the waking world, full of towering skyscrapers, neon signs, and heavy traffic. But there is one rather crucial difference: this city is located deep underwater, and the aforementioned traffic is mostly whales and fish, with the occasional submersible thrown into the mix.
The walls and windows are heavily reinforced to withstand the pressure of the water outside, and the people who dwell in these buildings seem to be doing rather well for themselves, for the most part. Buildings are connected by enclosed walkways, so barring any horrible accidents, the dreamers should have no problem getting around without getting too wet.
Much like the city they inhabit in the waking world, some areas are more obviously affluent than others, and the dreamers are as likely to stumble upon an upscale club as an underwater pub. But while the chances of a full structural breakdown are slim, there are definitely some areas that are on the leaky side, and a general sense of claustrophobia pervades the city wherever you might find yourself.
Explore. Or, if you're feeling particularly ambitious, attempt to escape. Either way, take care - it's hard to say what might be lurking in the darkness just beyond the city lights.
[ooc: Y'all know the drill. All characters are welcome, whether they are in the game or not. Characters can remember or forget the events of the dreaming at the player's discretion. And the party never stops - backtag into infinity!]

She used to have so many sisters, she understands family better than Lucifer gives her credit for. And his disregard and cruelty towards his own is disgusting. "I wasn't told any stories. I saw his memories. And I won't have him hurt again."

Lucifer loved his brothers.
But when he spoke against his Father, when he stopped being the blindly obedient son, it caused a rift between himself and Michael that words couldn't bridge. He didn't want war; it was simply the only path left open to him. What was he supposed to do, stand there and wait for his brother's blade to run him through, when he was right all along?
Sometimes, you have to fight for what you believe in, even if the ones you love are against you.
"Or the value of Gabriel's. You may have seen bits and pieces but do not delude yourself into thinking that gives you any right to speak on the matter. You are not part of this family. It is not your place to get involved."
Gabriel, as far as he knows, is one of the last of his brothers left alive. Hurting him is one of the last things that he wants to do.
sorry sorry, I totally do exist sometimes
"But if not me, who will? Perhaps none better to put a stop to this senseless feud than someone who wasn't involved in the slaughter of your own kind. Gabriel certainly can't seem to make you see sense, and your god never bothered to step in, if he cared at all." She has some unsavory opinions about that as well, and she's too angry to rein in her contempt for the way his creator has been treating his responsibilities. But she knows how aggressively even Gabriel tends to react to this sort of criticism, so she is ready for an attack, shielding her mind. "I only wish to prevent further violence, especially in this universe."

"Hold your tongue about my Father, or you'll lose it."
Only Lucifer gets to criticise God about His stellar parenting skills. He's been on the receiving end of them, after all.
"If you're so well-informed, you should already know that I don't have a feud with Gabriel. And I've visited no violence here on anyone who matters."
He's only killed a few humans and injured a few others; no one important. Not that there are many people here that Lucifer would consider important anyway.

And he seems to be out to provoke her, or perhaps it's just in his nature to be infuriating. "You hurt the Doctor, my pilot; he matters," she growls and her anger bleeds into the dreamscape, cooling and darkening the air, constricting the corridor. "And so does everyone else you hurt and killed. Do all angels share your contemptible disregard for the worth of life itself?" Even Gabriel has that fault, as she's found to her great dismay, but at least he tries to do better now.

"Humans are broken, miserable abortions."
That has been his stance since the beginning, and he hasn't seen any evidence yet that proves him wrong. Empirical data shows that humanity is vicious, brutish, and cruel, and honestly, bringing down an Apocalypse on their heads is only an improvement as far as he's concerned.
"In the eyes of angels, humans are either souls in Heaven or demons in Hell, and either way, kill them all and let God sort it out."
He spreads his hands apart, a wide, encompassing gesture.
"You should know, anyway. Hasn't Gabriel told you about his time as a trickster? About all the people he's tormented and killed for his own amusement, in the name of so-called justice? At least I don't play with them before they die."
